Please contact your Information Specialist for guidance if you need it. If you choose to continue using the Desktop version for now it will give you advance warning of the final switch off date, and we will also provide instructions and support when the time comes.
Mendeley has pledged that it will only switch off the Desktop version when it is confident that Reference Manager is sufficiently meeting user needs. We suggest that, to prevent any potential complications and to future proof access, you may wish to consider using Reference Manager to access your account instead. Mendeley Reference Manager has been launched to run in parallel with it for a while but will eventually become its sole replacement. Removing the ability to download Desktop is the first step towards Mendeley retiring the product completely. You will still be able to sign into, and use, any existing installations of Mendeley Desktop but if you encounter a technical problem you will not be able to reinstall the Desktop version to fix it.
